The Apostle Paul tellsabout the different gifts you should seek: Faith, Hope andLove (charity). The translation in The King James Versionuses the word charity instead of love because there aredifferent types of love. In Greek, there is an intellectuallove – which is agàpè. This is not just an emotional love,but rather it is an intellectual love which is a giving typeof love. It is a charitable act which is a continuous outgoingtype of love. It should always be your concern for theother individual.Discerning GodIn reference to knowing who God is and what He lookslike, you should discern what this definition means in relationshipto yourself. “ 11 When I was a child [speakingabout these gifts], I spoke as a child. I understood as achild.” This sounds somewhat like Job, doesn’t it? It wasas if Job was saying, “Why should I counsel? I didn’t haveknowledge.” He just didn’t have the correct factors inplace.
