God’s Library151The Shekinah GloryThis was an angel. It wasn’t another god (Acts 7:30). Rememberthat the rock followed Israel. But, the angel ledIsrael. It wasn’t Christ as another being. That was thereason The Jews began using the name “shekinah.” It wasbecause Israel knew and understood that God was not inthe temple.As a being, God was not in The Holy of Holies. It waswhat they called “the shekinah.” This Hebrew wordhas the root, “shakan” which means “a glorious place todwell” along with “God’s presence” or “the dwelling placeof God’s presence.” The Glory of God was the presence ofGod. God, the being, was not there. Christ, as God’s wordor God’s presence, was positioned there. The shekinah,God’s glory or His Word by The Holy Spirit, was The Onewho became Christ. This special power was in the temple.The story comes together perfectly. Christ was never inexistence before He was born as a human being.The Word of God is just what it says it is – God’s word.God wrote in His book from His thoughts and from Hismind. This is a spiritual book called The Lamb’s Book ofLife. Christ was written in that book and, believe it or not,if you follow Christ, you, also, are written in that book.Psalm 139:1-16 1 O Lord, you have searched me andknown me. 2 You know my downsitting and mineuprising, you understand my thought afar off. 3 Youcompassest my path and my lying down and areacquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a wordin my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, you know it altogether.
