It is “ergon” in Greek – which is “anytype of religious work” whether paganism, The BabylonMystery System or even of The Law of Moses, “ 16 And not bythe works of the law: for by the works of the law shall noflesh be justified.” People know they are not justified bythe works of The Law. They are justified by the death ofChrist. So, why do they perform The Works of The Law?It is not merely justification but much more. Instead, ifyou do the works of The Law, you are under a curse.Paul explained that those who preach the gospel of worksshould be accursed. If you do The Works of The Law, thenyou are under a curse. This includes any works, asidefrom the ones that James said Gentile Christians shouldperform. If one believes that Works of God’s Law are requiredto please God, then that person is under the curse.Why is this? It is because no one can keep The WholeLaw.If you keep any part of The Law, you must keep it all orelse you are under the curse (James 2:10). “ 17 But if, whilewe seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are foundsinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?
