Through an angel, God told Abraham, specifically,what would take place in His kingdom. Abrahamoffered his son, Isaac, as a sacrifice but God intervenedand stopped it. An animal was sacrificed in Isaac’s place.Here is the account, “ 15 And the angel of the Lord called toAbraham out of heaven the second time.” The Bible showsyou that no one has really talked to God. “Elohim,” GodAlmighty who is The Universal God, talked to Abraham(Genesis 12). But it was really an angel who said, “ 16 Bymyself have I sworn, said the Lord, for because you havedone this thing and have not withheld your son, your onlyson.” This angel is speaking in the place of God, as instructedby God. He speaks in God’s name and on God’sbehalf.It is important for you to remember the concept of dualityin The Bible. First, you have the physical aspect which isshown through Isaac being offered physically as a type of
