Therewas a temple, The Holy Place, wherein dwelt The Shekinah,which is The Glory of God. In order for God to staywith them, be their God and have the promises accordingto Abraham, they were required to do all The Works ofThe Law. The temple was the center for performing TheWorks of The Law!It seems ludicrous to have to throw leavened bread outand bring in barley harvests forever in order to becomea Son of God. It even sounds funny when you say it thatway. Paul says, “ 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabiaand answers to Jerusalem which now is and is in bondagewith her children” (Galatians 4:25). They are in slavery.The Law intended those works to be a form of slavery.Those works were only to bring them to Christ. They were
