The Covenants323tures.” The only Scriptures that were available at thattime was The Old Testament. Why should anyone search? The answer is, “for in them you think you have eternallife.” The whole argument between The Pharisees andThe Sadducees was that The Sadducees did not believein the resurrection. However, The Pharisees did believein The Resurrection. The Sadducees did not understandthat there would be a resurrection. They kept waitingfor The Promised Seed. Scholars and Christians get intoarguments because they do not understand the differencebetween The Old and New Covenants. The controversy regarding whether you have to keep TheLaw of Moses only proves that these combatants still donot have all of the information. The Holy Scriptures say,“ 39 are they which testify of me. 40 And you will not come tome, that you might have life.” The only way you can obtainlife is through Christ or The New Covenant. The New Covenantis real. It writes God’s Law in your heart becauseit is not just a shadow. The purpose of The Old Covenant(a shadow) with The Law of Moses was to bring them toChrist (Galatians 3:24). You cannot obtain everlasting lifeunder The Old Covenant. You can keep The Old Covenantwith The Law of Moses till the kingdom comes. But, in doingso, you will never obtain life. Jesus said, “ 41 I receivenot honour from men. 42 But I know you, that you have notthe love of God in you [you do not have God’s agàpè love “InYou”]. 43 I am come in my Father’s name and you receive menot: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive.44 How can you believe.” Some say, “Well, what thatScripture really means is...” Then, all they give is theirown opinion. When you hear this, all sorts of warningsshould go off in your mind.
