56 God’s Puzzle Solvedcontradicted what The Bible was saying to me. It wasn’tuntil I was 30 that I began to understand and, therefore,I changed some of those preset ideas. I had an educationwith different degrees from universities and colleges. Ihad studied science, physics, astronomy, geology, cosmologyand logic. So you can imagine how all these differentteachings were contradicting and confusing. Christ said,“Who did he go to preach to?” He preached to the poor.He preached to the unlearned. They would listen becausethey had no preset ideas.Whenever you get involved in a religion, you will begin tobelieve those specific religious teachings. The process ofcoming out of preconceived ideas is very hard. In yourspecific case, it may be education, religion or a self-pridefrom which you must extricate yourself. In all cases, youmust first let go of your ego. Unless you become as a littlechild, you will not understand The Bible. You must cometo the point where nothing you think is religiously right orwrong.When you read in Revelation that a big earthquake tookplace before Adam and Eve, then that is what you believe.If it seems to contradict science, then that is what you stillcontinue to believe. If The Bible tells you that the reasonGod kicked all the Canaanites out of the land was so Hecould give it to The Children of Abraham, then, you believeit. When you come to that place, then God will openyour understanding to many more of His truths.Not Everyone UnderstandsAt times, God doesn’t seem fair. He could have made
