28 God’s Puzzle Solveda rocket scientist to understand this. You can’t get somethingfrom nothing, that is an absolute truth. What ifthere was something there, either God or something else?Well, if it wasn’t God but something else, then what startedthat something? Scientists say something else started thatsomething. Well, what started that something, when somethingelse started that something? As you can see, thisthinking process goes on endlessly. In other words, it eitherall started from something or there never was a start. If there never was a start, you can’t have things evolveinto something. In reality, you are left with only one conclusion, whateverthere was that was in the beginning, that something had toalways be. The circular trap that there was always somethingbefore something else never ends. You will neverreach a beginning. Realistically, you know there must be abeginning. René Descartes (1596-1650), a French philosopher, published in 1641 his most famous work, Meditationson First Philosophy. In this set of six essays, he speculatedon, among other things, his actual existence. His conclusionis the famous Latin phrase, “cogito, ergo sum” (“Ithink, therefore, I am”). He said, “Since I’m conscious andI’m here, then I’m here. I exist because I think.”Questions About EvolutionWell, God says, “Since you see the universe, therefore,it was created.” It could not have started from nothing. When you ask questions about evolution, you deal withthese answers. Evolutionists say, “I don’t know,” or evadethe question and attempt to throw you off track. It is usuallyone or the other.
