They no longer wanted direct contact withGod. What was God’s attitude regarding their behavior?God agreed to do it their way. God said, “O that there weresuch a heart in them, that they would fear me and keep allmy commandments always, that it might be well with themand with their children for ever.” This is the essence ofThe New Covenant, to have His Law written in your heartand mind.
