1 INTRODUCTION<br />

This Schedule provides comprehensive guidance on permitted Actions to safeguard the OPH whilst it is provides<br />

a venue for educational activities.<br />

The Schedule has been prepared to meet professional conservation standards and the following policies of the<br />

Heritage Management Plan 2008-2013.<br />

■ ■Policy 2.3 Permitted Actions<br />

2.3.1 Permitted Actions are Actions that will have no adverse impact on the heritage values and may be<br />

undertaken in accordance with the scheduled guidelines without the need for an Actions proposal.<br />

■ ■Policy 4.6 Interpretation, exhibition and education plans<br />

4.6.5 Old Parliament House management must maintain and implement an Interpretation Plan, Education Plan<br />

and Exhibitions Plan consistent with the Heritage Management Plan.<br />

4.6.6 Old Parliament House management must engage in an active program of interpretation to<br />

advocate for and present the heritage values of the place, employing a wide range of media and<br />

aimed at a wide audience, including scholars, special interest groups and the public.<br />

■ ■Policy 4.7 Promotions and outreach<br />

4.7.2 Old Parliament House management may facilitate functions and event which<br />

do not cause an adverse impact on the heritage values of the place and where the<br />

function or event may promote the heritage values to a new audience.<br />

This Schedule has been developed in line with all relevant OPH plans and policies.<br />

2.1 ACTIVITIES COVERED BY THIS SCHEDULE<br />
