The matrix below outlines the majority of risks at the time of this analysis appear in the upper half of the<br />

table, where Old Parliament House management should action a mitigation strategy. This illustrates that the<br />

7.0 Conclusions<br />

The risks identified above have the potential to significantly adversely impact on the heritage values of Old<br />

Parliament House. The management of these risks requires a careful mapping of the identified heritage values<br />

for the place in order to establish which spaces, fabric, elements of its setting etc embody those values,<br />

and which are therefore the most vulnerable to certain risks. It will then be possible to formulate heritage<br />

policies for the best conservation of the values and management of the risks. A further risk assessment should<br />

be undertaken in five years to assess the success of the mapping and policies and adjust as necessary.
