Advances in Particulate Filter Substrates (Part 1 of 2) (PFL423)<br />
The presentations in this session cover both GPF and DPF filters. Presentations<br />
will cover the ash deposition for both types of filters and details will be provided on<br />
deposition of wall ash and also on plug channel ash. There is one paper using a radio<br />
frequency sensor for measuring the soot and ash loadings. Finally there are two papers<br />
investigating new cordierite designs for improved DPF particle collection efficiency and<br />
also ash loadings.<br />
