NOx Traps (LNT) and Selective Catalytic<br />
Reduction (SCR); system integration<br />
and durability; advances in NOx catalyst<br />
substrates, novel reductants and mixing<br />
designs.<br />

Climate control is a defining vehicle attribute<br />
and is associated with brand image.<br />
Thermal performance is critical to customer<br />
satisfaction. The primary objective is to<br />
deliver occupant safety and thermal comfort<br />
at minimum energy consumption, yet the<br />
system has strong design interaction with<br />
other vehicle systems. Noise, Air Quality,<br />
and Energy ace are just a few of the recent<br />
advances.<br />

Sub-sessions cover emissions measuring<br />
techniques and testing regimes. This<br />
includes new analysis techniques and the<br />
novel application of existing techniques,<br />
the comparison of existing and proposed<br />
testing regimes with real world experience,<br />
including modeling.<br />

LCA, Sustainability and End-of-<br />
Life (SDP113)<br />
This session reviews life cycle assessments<br />
on materials, technologies, and<br />
processes, as well as vehicle end-oflife<br />
issues including, parts reuse, parts<br />
remanufacturing, parts/materials recycling<br />
and the technologies and processes<br />
associated with these activities. Other<br />
topics included in this session are updates<br />
on the development of life cycle analysis<br />
databases for use by the national and<br />
international community.<br />
