Test Equipment & Instruments / Water & Hardness Testing
pH Hydrotester
The pH Hydrotester is used to measure the pH or potential of
hydrogen, which is an indication of a substance’s acidic or alkaline
properties, of water and other liquids. Measuring the pH of water
and other liquids is especially important if the water has been
treated with nutrients, chemicals or other additives. The easy-touse,
battery-powered device is water-resistant and durable and
provides fast and accurate measurements.
EC/TDS Hydrotester
The EC/TDS Hydrotester is used to measure electrical
conductivity (EC) and total dissolved solids (TDS) of water and
other liquids. Both EC and TDS can be used as measurements
to determine either water purity, or the quantity of nutrients in a
solution, salt in a pool or aquarium and other applications. The
easy-to-use, battery-powered device is water-resistant and
durable and provides fast and accurate measurements.
Durometer
The Durometer is a portable, handheld device for
determining the Shore A Hardness of elastomers,
rubbers and other soft polymers. The device is the
most widely used instrument for this application and
is compliant with ASTM D 2240 , DIN 53505 and ISO
868 standards.
The Durometer makes use of a needle-like indentor loaded by a calibrated spring and
measures hardness by determining the depth of penetration of the indentor into the
material being tested. The Shore A Hardness value displayed on the analog dial varies
from 0 to 100, 100 corresponds to maximum resistance and therefore zero penetration
and maximum hardness.
