FLY-BYS ON PARADE

The birds-of-paradise are stunningly beautiful and 40 of the family’s 42 colourful

species live in PNG. While their tiny size means they can be hard to spot, porters

and locals will be able to help. If you are very lucky you may also spot a much

larger bird, the cassowary. Much easier to see are the thousands of differentcoloured

butterflies, 735 species of which call PNG home.
