3. The widths of the joists may be varied without changing the

sizes of the joist soffits, thus reducing the quantity of form

lumber required.

4. By modifying the widths of the joists, the forms may be used

for floors with odd dimensions.

Adjustable Steel Forms

As illustrated in Figure 12-3, flangeless types of steel forms are available

for use in construction pan-joist types of floor systems. The forms

are available in a 20- and 30-in. standard, and a 30- and 40-in. deepset.

Figure 12-3 only shows the standard and the 40-in. deepset forms.
