Figure 12-16 illustrates a method of supporting horizontal shores
on steel-frame construction. Figure 12-16(a) is a Spanall bearing on a
beam side form. Ledgers are mounted from the header, which is supported
by a coil-tie hanger. The plywood is placed on top of the joists.
Figure 12-16(b) shows a Spanall bearing on side forms of fireproofing
supported by 4 × 4 headers hung with coil-tie hangers, with plywood
placed directly on top of the Spanall.
