The carriers that support the ends of the forms may be removed
prior to stripping the supporting beam forms, which will permit the
removal of the Longforms without disturbing the forms for the
beams. Thus, the Longforms may be removed for early reuse without
disturbing the shores.
Ceco Steeldomes
These units are used in forming two-way dome slab construction, sometimes
described as waffle-type construction. The domes are made of onepiece
sheet steel with a flange on each of the four sides. When installed,
the flanges of adjacent domes should abut each other, with nails holding
them in place. This dome system is available in 2- and 3-ft standard
square modules. Figure 12-7 shows the dimensions of standard sizes.
