____ A small, up to 4 m tall, broadly and loosely-growing tree; leaves
bronze-red; flowers appear fairly early, numerous, bluish-red, 4
to 5 cm across; fruits round, 2 cm thick, bright red and edible.

____ A sturdy-growing, large shrub or small tree with deep green leaves;
flowers simple, 5 cm across, white, arising out of pink buds;
fruits 3 cm across, orange to flaming red, richly fruit-bearing -
uncut, preserved fruits make an excellent preserve. S. Zone 5a.
´Katherine´ - Crab Apple ´Katherine´ NEW!
____ A tree or shrub, 3-4.5 m tall, with a funnel-like crown. Leaves
oval to elliptical. Flowers densely double, 5.5 cm wide, pink as
buds. Fruits yellow, round, about 1 cm thick, appearing in mid-
October. One of the most outstanding, dense-flowering cultivar.

´Liset´ (= x moerlandsii ´Liset´)
____ A medium-tall, sturdy and upright-growing shrub, up to 8 m tall;
leaves often lobed, at shoot break dark crimson, later shiny dark
green; flowers simple, 4 cm across, bluish-red, free-flowering
even when young; fruits small and dark brown - a valuable, richly
fruit-bearing cultivar. S. Zone 5a.
´Makamik´
____ A small tree with long, rounded crown; shoots upright-growing;
leaves elliptic, reddish at shoot break, later bronze-green; flowers
dark red, later purplish-rosa, then pale-coloured with white
star-like spot in the centre, free-flowering yearly; fruits almost
round, 2 cm thick, light red, more orange on the shaded side - a
healthy, free-flowering and decorative fruiting tree, considered
the best pink-flowering cultivar. S. Zone 5a.
´Nicoline´
____ 4 to 6 m tall shrub or small tree with broad, upright-growing habit;
leaves hold their deep dark red colour, glossy; flowers simple,
dark red, appearing in May; fruits small, ovate, bright red,
remaining long on plant. S. Zone 5a.
