____ An upright-growing shrub with multiple shoots and numerous<br />

large, golden yellow flowers, similar to ´Lynwood´, appearing<br />

major (= monticola, alnifolia var. major) - Dwarf Alder<br />

____ A shrub growing 1.5 to 2 m tall with a rounded, upright growing<br />

pattern and dense basal shoots. Leaves oblong, cordate to<br />

orbicular, 5 to 10 cm long, appearing bronze red when young<br />

and turning shiny dark green later, underside bluish green, hairy<br />

along the venation, with a strikingly impressive autumn colours<br />

of yellow, orange to red. Flowers fragrant, smelling of honey,<br />

borne on upright growing, 4 to 8 cm long, pure white spikes with<br />

yellow anthers. A lovely shrub as specimen, exotic looking flowers<br />

and spectacular autumn colours suitable for gardens and<br />
