____ A dense, well-branched shrub, hardly over 1.5 m tall with slender<br />

shoots; cordate leaves in shoot break with red edges, golden<br />

yellow autumn colours; flowers soft yellow, arranged 2 to 3 in<br />

short spikes, sweet-smelling, appearing in March/April before<br />

leaf break - a valuable plant that flowers freely before spring for<br />

sites protected from late frost. K. Zone 7a.<br />

____ Up to 2 m tall, loosely growing; cordate leaves develop out of<br />

deep red buds; an effective contrast to the light yellow flowers in<br />
