____ A deciduous, just about 1.5 m tall, slow-growing shrub, with a<br />

loosely built, rounded growing habit; leaves up to 10 cm long,<br />

broadly oval, dull green, turning partly yellow-red in autumn;<br />

flowers white, fleshy red outside, heliotrop-like fragrant, borne in<br />

April/May in semi-rounded umbels. S. Zone 5b.<br />

carlesii ´Aurora´<br />

____ A valuable selection, that excels through its especially healthy,<br />

long-lasting leaves; flowers intensive red when as buds, pink<br />

when blooming, later white. S. Zone 5b.<br />

____ An evergreen, densely branched, about 50 cm tall dwarf shrub,<br />

with a pillow-like growing habit and distinguished large, oval, leathery,<br />

dark green leaves; white flowers appear in June in about<br />

8 cm wide cymes; blue stone fruits, 6 mm long - an exclusive<br />

____ A selection from „Arrowwood Viburnums“ from America, with a<br />

compact and densely bushy growth, 1-1.5 m tall. Leaves round<br />

to oval, shiny green, appearing in good contrast to the creamy<br />

white flowering umbels that appear in May/June. Fruits steel<br />

blue, staying through winter, fruit production is increased by having<br />

another cultivar of Arrowwood near by; fruits are a food<br />

supply for birds. An attractive shrub, beautiful for mass planting<br />

as small hedges, in planting troughs or as a specimen. H, K, S.<br />
