____ An evergreen, 2 to 3 m tall, loose, broad and bushy-growing
shrub; leaves elongated to lanceolate, up to 12 cm long, glossy
green, some turning red in autumn; flowers small, white, borne
in June in 5 to 8 cm wide, flat, corymbs; fruits pea-size, red,
hanging long through the winter - a decorative specimen for protected
positions. R, St. Zone 7a.

through the winter - a valuable shrub for hedgings and as undergrowth
plant, equally a good honey-producing plant. H, St.

____ A very broad, bushy and low growing shrub up to 50 cm tall.
Leaves are small, bluish to greyish green, 2 to 3 cm wide and 3
to 5 cm long, turning yellow to greenish yellow in autumn. Flowers
white, appearing in June. Fruits white, ca. 1 cm in diameter.
An undemanding, extremely hardy plant from Sweden, aptly
suitable for mass planting as ground covers, greening of street
borders etc. B, K, H, St. Zone 3.
