____ 3 to 6 m tall, fast-growing shrub or small tree, with broad, loose<br />
crown; leaves up to 10 cm long, broadly elliptic, wrinkled; catkins<br />
are very large, appearing in March/April - an undemanding woody<br />
plant found in primary vegetation, and an important honeyproducing<br />

____ Differs from the species in its larger foliage and the numerous,<br />

____ An especially lovely, early-flowering cultivar, somewhat more<br />

early as November/December and then fall off; the silvery catkins,<br />
up to 5 cm long, contrast effectively with the bronze-dark<br />
red shoots - a top cultivar for wreaths and bouquets. S. Zone 3.<br />
cinerea - Grey Willow<br />
____ 2 to 5 m tall, dense and broad, almost semi-circular growing,<br />
large shrub; catkins appear before leaf break, male caktkins<br />
egg-shaped, orange to yellow, appearing in April/May; leaves<br />
changeable, cloudy grey above, and lower surface covered with<br />
bluish felt - a woody plant found in primary vegetation, suitable<br />
for all moist positions, hedgerows, riverbankvegetation or for<br />
