underneath, edges toothed to serrated; flowers borne in 20 cm<br />

long, white racemes; fruits black - an excellent, hardy newcomer,<br />

that surpasses the popular cultivars like ´Caucasica´, ´Herbergii´,<br />

´Rotundifolia´ etc; for hedges, as specimen plants or for<br />

group or mass planting, as a visible barrier, undergrowth planting,<br />

`transportable` greenery, wind protection; a cherry laurel<br />
