____ Up to 70 cm tall, upright-growing dwarf shrub with overhanging<br />

branches during the flowering season; numerous carmine flowers,<br />

developing out of dark red buds, in early June - an especially<br />

lovely, new weigela, that is often seen as a dwarf version of<br />

pink flowers. This amazing cultivar clearly surpasses all known<br />

red-leaved Weigela cultivars; grows well in containers (especially<br />

dense bushy, compact and broad; leaves in comparison to<br />

W. florida thicker and darker green above; flowers dark pink to<br />

red - has proven to be very hardy in the cold climates of Oppdahl,<br />

Norway, an earlier frost-hardier cultivar was not known<br />
