growing wide and upright, 2 to 3 m tall; young shoots are
slightly downy and bronze-red on the sunny side; leaves golden
yellow, about 4 to 6 cm long and 5 to 7 cm wide with long stalks;
a striking cultivar due to its yellow foliage (rather yellowish-green
in sheltered areas) and the amazing contrast it provides with its
autumn colours (yellow to pink to red and magenta); especially
attractive when combined with red-leaved cultivars; also used
for floristic purposes; best newcomer from Plantarium 1999, Boskoop.
