____ A rounded, dense-growing cultivar from Denmark, reaching<br />

about 1 to 1.5 m tall and wide within 10 years; young shoots are<br />

short, upright, rigid and well-branched; leaves 4 to 5 cm long, 1<br />

cm wide, green with a strong silvery shine, leaves fall around<br />

November – an interesting and compact plant for small areas,<br />

hedges, as a specimen or in areas that are often treated with<br />

salt; professor P.E. BRANDNER, Institute of Landskabsplanter,<br />

Hornum, Danmark selected the variety in 1965 from seedlings.<br />

____ A broad and upright-growing shrub with sturdy fruiting branches;<br />

fruits large, deep orange-red, cylindrical to bead-like, fixed<br />

densely on fruiting sprigs, ripening rather late (mid September<br />

to mid October), fruit colour remains even after frosts throughout<br />

the winter - a beloved cultivar with high vitamin C-content, and<br />

especially lovely as ornamental shrub and for bouquets; brought<br />

into trade by H.-J. ALBRECHT, Berlin, in 1979. D, H, St. Zone 4.<br />

hairy, bright yellowish-orange, colours solid, dense fruiting already<br />

from mid to end September. A top cultivar from the hybridization<br />

programme of H.-J. ALBRECHT, Berlin – considered as<br />
