____ A dwarf apple tree, up to 1.5 m tall; flowers appear in April, bright<br />
red at first, later whitish; fruits orange, in abundance, and remain<br />
long over the winter - a SAPHO-hybrid with resistance to<br />
fire-blight, mildew and apple-scab. S. Zone 5a. One of the best<br />
compact forms. Protected cultivar APZ 4. Plant protection rights<br />

´Prairiefire´ - Crab Apple ´Prairiefire´ NEW!<br />
____ Up to 6 m high, upright to round growing tree; young leaves<br />
magenta-red getting into dark-green. Magenta-pink flowers with<br />
a width of about 4 cm; fruits magenta-red with diameter of 1 to<br />
1,2 cm. Well evaluated variety in the USA; 1996 tree of the year<br />
in Iowa. S. Zone 5a.<br />

____ A small, up to 4 m tall tree with conical-growing habit; leaves<br />
green, turning yellowish-red in autumn; flowers simple, 3 cm<br />

cm, orange-red, and remain long on tree over the winter - a freeflowering<br />
and richly fruit-bearing cultivar. S. Zone 5a.<br />

____ 3 to 4 m tall, upright growing shrub with overhanging shoots; leaves<br />
reddish at shoot break, later glossy bronze-green; flowers<br />
rosy red, quickly turning a lighter colour, simple, 4 cm across,<br />
appearing around the end of May; fruits small, flat and round,<br />
deep red - a free-flowering, valuable cultivar; suitable for forcing.<br />

____ A small tree with long, overhanging shoots that often touch the<br />
ground; flowers simple, appear out of pure white buds, 4 cm<br />
across; fruits in abundance, small, ovate, bright red, and remain<br />
long on tree over the winter - a regular and richly fruit-bearing<br />
cultivar, that needs to be staked when young. S. Zone 5a.<br />
