____ Up to 6 m tall, loosely-growing, dioecious shrub with thorny sprigs;<br />

leaves narrow, with silvery scales on both sides; flowers inconspicuous;<br />

fruits orange-red, abundant, juicy and vitamin-rich;<br />

fruiting takes place only when both male and female plants are<br />

close by - a valuable shrub - tolerant to drought - for gardens,<br />
