(57) Abstract:
There is disclosed an improved sealing system for iron ore sintering
machine comprising sinter cars for carrying green mix mounted with
fixed bars/wear plates, each car having a grate for carrying the green
mix, wind box connected to an air duct over which the sinter cars are
arranged to travel a required no. of fans for sucking air through the
air duct and through the ignited sinter characterized in that sealing
means for preventing leakage of air is proved on top of the wind box,
said sealing means comprising spring loaded flexible stationary
surface, to tightly contact the moving surface of the sinter car
