The present invention relates to interference pigments having a mass tone based on multicoated flake-form substrates, which are
distinguished by the fact that they comprise
(A) a colourless coating having a refractive index of n> 1.8 and a layer thickness of 20— 250 nm,
(B) a colourless coating having a refractive index of n��������������������hickness 10 — 100 nm,
(C) a colourless coating having a refractive index of n> 1.8 and a layer thickness of 20 —250 nm,
(D) an absorbent layer having a layer thickness of 1 — 100 nm,
and optionally
(E) an outer protective layer,
and to the use thereof in paints, coatings, printing inks, plastics, ceramic materials, glasses, for laser marking, in cosmetic
formulations and for the preparation of pigment compositions and dry preparations.
