(57)Abstract<br />

geogrid or like reinforcement material (16), by providing <strong>the</strong> blocks with means for pivotal articulation at quarterpoints<br />

along <strong>the</strong>ir width, such as bores (10) and pivot pins (11), in combination with wedge-shaped anchor elements<br />

(13) which are retained in cavities (12) in <strong>the</strong> blocks and which have projections (15) engaging through apertures in<br />

<strong>the</strong> geogrid.<br />
