(57) Abstract: A process described, which after decontaminating rejected cathode blocks from aluminium<br />

plant is converted into fine free flowing graphite crystallites with average particle size 20 micro-meter, and<br />

<strong>the</strong>se graphite powder after bonding with a clay based refractory mixed fired and converted into graphite-<br />

refractories. These carbon-refractories can be used in high temperature metallurgical processes.<br />
