ABSTRACT
Systemic lupus erythematosus SLE is a systemic autoimmune disease with
multiorgan involvement of a complex pathoaetiology and a great clinical
polymorphism.
The haematological abnormalities observed in SLE are commun, varied and
well established in the literature. Nearly all SLE patients develop some
haematological manifestation during the course of the disease.
Haematologic involvement is a part of the revised criteria of the American
Rheumatism Association ARA and is defined by:
• Hemolytic anemia,
• Leukopenia less than 4x10 9 /l on two or more occasions,
• Lymphopenia
