A ferver a água,
com força
e botava-se ou goma dentro dela,
mexia-se com um pau para
não torrar no fundo
e já estava a goma feita.
Já se podia trabalhar,

é que não se podia pregar.
Farinha de trigo também dava muito bem,
mas era mais cara um bocado
e a centeia fazia a obra mais pesada
e a triga deixava a obra mais leve.
