In conclusion, the research ideas presented here warrant further analysis in detailed simulation
experiments. A number of foreseeable deficiencies of the new indicator have clearly been mentioned
in the respective discussion sections and need to be considered when conducting statistical tests for the
new values. Further sensitivity testing and implementations with other data sets in other areas are
planned, as well as standardized versions of the Dispersion Index and Functional Triangle supported
by efficient software tools.
