Mr. Hoblyn exhibited patterns for a penny <strong>and</strong> halfpenny <strong>of</strong><br />

George III., 1788, by Pingo, <strong>the</strong> former being <strong>the</strong> first copper<br />

coin struck <strong>of</strong> that denomination ;<br />

also a penny <strong>of</strong> Jamaica, struck<br />

in copper instead <strong>of</strong> white metal, <strong>and</strong> patterns for one-cent <strong>and</strong><br />

half-cent pieces <strong>of</strong> Nova Scotia, 1861, differing materially from<br />

<strong>the</strong> current coin.<br />

Mr. Pearson exhibited a curious <strong>and</strong> unpublished leaden<br />

medallet <strong>of</strong> Queen Elizabeth, with <strong>the</strong> inscription, NIL NISI<br />

CONCILIO, 1588.<br />

Mr. Gill exhibited a styca <strong>of</strong> Ulfhere, Archbishop <strong>of</strong> York,<br />

<strong>of</strong> base silver, <strong>and</strong> a copper coin <strong>of</strong> Cunobeline found at Chester<br />

Camp, near Wellingborough, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> type <strong>of</strong> Evans, PL xn. 6.<br />

Mr. P. Gardner read a paper on some new <strong>and</strong> unpublished<br />

Captain E. Hoare communicated a paper on some early <strong>and</strong><br />
