Mr. W. Myers exhibited eight tetradrachms <strong>of</strong> Alex<strong>and</strong>er <strong>the</strong><br />

Great <strong>and</strong> two <strong>of</strong> Alex<strong>and</strong>er ^gus, lately acquired by him in<br />

Egypt ;<br />

also a Gaulish silver com.<br />

Mr. Krumbholz exhibited a pattern for a five-franc piece, 1848,<br />

by Farochon, <strong>and</strong> ano<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> same date by Alard ; pattern<br />

pro<strong>of</strong>s in gold <strong>and</strong> silver <strong>of</strong> a two- keeping piece<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> East<br />

India Company struck for Bencoolen, <strong>and</strong> a pro<strong>of</strong> in silver <strong>of</strong><br />

an East India Company's rupee <strong>of</strong> 1784.<br />

Mr. Sheriff Mackenzie communicated a paper "On an un-<br />

published penny <strong>of</strong> Alex<strong>and</strong>er II. <strong>of</strong> Scotl<strong>and</strong>," struck at<br />

Forres. See "<strong>Numismatic</strong> Chronicle," 3rd Series, Vol. i. p. 158.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Hon. J. J. Gibbs communicated a paper " On <strong>the</strong> Bah-<br />

inani Coins <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Deccan," in which he described several<br />

hi<strong>the</strong>rto unknown coins <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> kings <strong>of</strong> this dynasty both in<br />

gold <strong>and</strong> silver. See " <strong>Numismatic</strong> Chronicle," 3rd Series,<br />
