to the Republic of France in
respect of the investigation into bribery
and corruption with regard to the
combat suites of the four corvettes
purchased as part of the arms deal;
(2) whether the said country provided
any support, co-operation and/or assistance
as at the latest specified date
in respect of their investigation; if
not, what is the position in this
regard; if so, what are the relevant

The MINISTER FOR JUSTICE AND CON-
STITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
(1) and (2) The National Prosecuting Authority
made a request for mutual legal
assistance to France. To date, the Republic of
France has not responded to the request.
