5. Instruct the patient to close the eyes.<br />

6. Press the laser centering device on key "20" . Three laser<br />

beams will light the sagittal median plane "45", the horizontal line for<br />

the Frankfurt plane reference "46" (Figure 16) and the canine plane<br />

line. Position the patient's head in such a way that the sagittal<br />

median plane is lit by the corresponding laser beam as per Figure 16.<br />

7. After having positioned the head, close the temple support acting on<br />

the two knobs "6" (Figure 16). The temple support will help the<br />

patient to stay in a correct position. Check that, during this phase,<br />

patient has not changed the position.<br />

The laser centering device remains lit until the laser centering device ON<br />

button "20"<br />

is pressed or, upon completion of the alignment<br />

procedure, key "23"<br />

. is pressed to start the exam procedure.<br />

8. Advise the patient to remain perfectly still and do not look at<br />

the rotating arm during the movements.<br />
