The number of active investors increased by 63
percent, from 3,626 at the beginning of the year to
5,936 at the end of the year. The investor base is
becoming increasingly local.
The new KD Nova Europa, an equity mutual
fund, started operating in October.
All four funds generated attractive returns in the
local currency (Croatian kuna - HRK); returns were
even higher in euros, given the slight increase in the
value of the HRK against the euro.
In general, the Croatian investment fund sector
developed significantly during the year in every
category (volume of assets under management, net
value of assets and share of the financial market).
