2001
The KD Holding Group has its origins in 1994
The letters KD replace the name Kmečka družba
when the asset management company Kmečka
družba, družba za upravljanje investicijskih skladov,
d. d, is established.
1996
Kmečka družba becomes the manager of the
oldest Slovenian mutual fund - KD Galileo. Two
more mutual funds, the equity fund KD Rastko and
the bond fund KD Bond, are established in that
year from the assumed part of four mutual funds of
another asset management company.
Purchase of Slovenica d. d. insurance company.
1997
The total value of assets under management
in the three Kmečka družba mutual funds exceeds
SIT 1 billion (more than EUR 4.1 million).
1998
PID Kmečka družba d. d. shares are listed on
the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
2000
Kmečka družba becomes the first Slovenian
asset management company to obtain a licence to
invest assets from its mutual funds on foreign stock
markets.
Establishment of the Kmečka družba d. d.
Group (now KD Group d. d.) by spinning off a part
of Kmečka družba.

Kmečka družba is renamed KD Investments, družba
za upravljanje, d. d.
PID Kmečka družba is divided into three
companies, one of them being Kmečka družba
Holding d. d. later renamed KD Holding d. d.
Formal opening of Kolosej Ljubljana, the first
cinema multiplex in Slovenia.
With the opening of the first Financial Point
(Finančna točka) in Ljubljana, the development and
expansion of a network of financial supermarkets
outside the company’s registered office begins in
Slovenia.
2002
Tenth anniversary of the Galileo mutual fund.
The twenty thousandth investor makes a
payment into KD mutual funds. Total assets under
management in the three KD mutual funds exceed
SIT 30 billion (more than EUR 125 million).
KD Rastko and KD Galileo are the most profitable
Slovenian funds.
2004
Operations of the stockbroking company KD
BPD begin.
The fifty thousandth investor makes a payment
into KD mutual funds. Assets under management in
KD mutual funds exceed SIT 90 billion (EUR 375.5
million).
