We achieve excellence in financial asset
Utilising synergies in the Group
management with our expert approach, long years
of experience in the domestic and regional capital
markets and through international links. This is
reflected in the operating results of our investment
funds which are, to a great extent, dependent on
developments on individual capital markets.
We were extremely successful in this area, as
the majority of funds (17) exceeded established
benchmarks. Several investment funds managed
by management companies within the Group have
received various domestic and international awards
for successful asset management.
The Group holds a 15 percent share of the
Slovenian life insurance market, while the Group’s
specialised life insurance company has risen to
second position. The Group successfully markets life
insurance in other markets in the region.
Unit-linked life insurance products, primarily
Fondpolica, stand out as the most successful
insurance products in the past year, both in Slovenia
and across the entire region. With an 18 percent
market share, the insurance company Adriatic
Slovenica consolidated second position among
composite insurance companies in Slovenia in 2007.
We began to actively carry out a project to
develop banking services. The project included a
group of experienced banking experts. Banking will
complement other insurance and financial products
and bring the Group’s range of products and
services full circle.
We accelerated the development of a new real
estate division. Our main project in this regard is the
Šumi business complex in Ljubljana.
In the past year, we reorganised the Group
and began introducing division-based operations.
Thus the Group operates in the following divisions:
investment fund management, private wealth
management and stockbroking, insurance, capital
investments and real estate. Division managers are
the presidents of the management boards of the
largest companies within a specific division. The
new arrangement will facilitate more efficient and
transparent operations.
We continued our growth in regional markets
where we are already present by introducing
complementary products to complete our offer of
mutual funds, private wealth management, life
insurance, stockbroking and sales of financial
services.
The strengths of several companies within KD
Holding Group both at home and throughout the
region were also successfully combined in the area of
financial-insurance products.
