in the Czech Republic and through a branch in
Slovakia and by KD Life Romania and KD Life
Bulgaria in their respective countries.

Gross life insurance premiums have been growing
for a number of years. Last year, total premiums
collected by insurance companies were 16.3
percent higher than the previous year. The main

of new life insurance products, primarily insurance
in which policyholders assume the investment risk.
Given the 13.7 percent growth in life insurance
in Slovenia in 2007 and the 16.3 percent rise
in 2006, the Slovenian life insurance market is
growing at a faster pace than in other EU Member
States (growth in the EU-15 was 12.8 percent).
In 2007, life insurance was marketed within the
Group by two insurance companies in Slovenia:
KD Življenje and Adriatic Slovenica, which together
