The following is a selection <strong>of</strong> new contracts and other major events that were announced in <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

February – May <strong>2010</strong><br />

2/2/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> preferred bidder for the Essex<br />

Building Schools for the Future (BSF)<br />

in the UK, within the Private Finance<br />

Initiative (PFI) program<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong>, through a preferred bidder contract, has<br />

been selected for developing, constructing and<br />

maintaining three schools for Essex County Council,<br />

in the UK. The project will be conducted within the<br />

U.K. program for public private partnerships,<br />

PFI (Private Finance Initiative).<br />

2/11/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> divests ongoing<br />

“Flat Iron Building” <strong>of</strong>fice project<br />

in Stockholm to Norrporten<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> sells its ongoing <strong>of</strong>fice project, the Flat Iron<br />

Building, at Norra Bantorget in central Stockholm.<br />

The sales price is SEK 850 M. The buyer is Norrporten<br />

and the transfer will take place in March <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

3/11/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to construct oil refinery unit<br />

in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for about<br />

<strong>USD</strong> 250 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> has been awarded a contract to construct<br />

the first phase <strong>of</strong> a new refinery for crude oil in<br />

Brazil. The total contract value is <strong>USD</strong> 623 M, <strong>of</strong><br />

which <strong>Skanska</strong>’s share is 40 percent, corresponding<br />

to about <strong>USD</strong> 250 M, or about SEK 1.8 billion. The<br />

customer is Petrobras, one <strong>of</strong> the world’s leading<br />

energy companies and one <strong>of</strong> <strong>Skanska</strong>’s repeat<br />

customers.<br />

3/11/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> starts second phase <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

project Bassängkajen in Malmö,<br />

investing SEK 215 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> invests around SEK 215 M in the second<br />

phase <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>fice project Bassängkajen on<br />

Universitetsholmen in Malmö, Sweden.<br />

4/16/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to develop new <strong>of</strong>fices for<br />

Visma at Lindhagensterrassen –<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to invest approximately<br />

SEK 345 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> is continuing to develop new premises<br />

for major corporations at Lindhagensterrassen in<br />

Stockholm. The new <strong>of</strong>fice property comprises<br />

slightly more than 11,000 square meters and<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong>’s investment totals about SEK 345 M.<br />

2/18/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> sells <strong>of</strong>fice property in<br />

Stockholm to Deka Immobilien<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> sells its ongoing <strong>of</strong>fice project Bylingen on<br />

Ringvägen in the Södermalm district <strong>of</strong> Stockholm.<br />

The sales price is SEK 576 M. The buyer is Deka<br />

Immobilien GmbH on behalf <strong>of</strong> its property fund<br />

WestInvest ImmoValue and the transfer is scheduled<br />

for March <strong>2010</strong>.<br />

2/22/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to construct <strong>of</strong>fice in Norway<br />

for NOK 290 M, approximately<br />

SEK 360 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> has secured the assignment to construct<br />

an <strong>of</strong>fice building in Asker, outside Oslo. The<br />

construction contract totals NOK 290 M, approximately<br />

SEK 360 M. The customer is the Norwegian<br />

industrial and finance company Ferd.<br />

2/25/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> sells PPP road in Norway at<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>it <strong>of</strong> SEK 100 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> has sold its 50-percent share ownership<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Orkdalsvegen E39 road in Norway, which is<br />

operated as a public-private partnership (PPP). The<br />

sales price amounts to NOK 140 M, approximately<br />

SEK 170 M.<br />

3/17/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to construct World Trade<br />

Center project in New York for<br />

<strong>USD</strong> 434 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong>, in a joint venture with Granite Construction,<br />

has been awarded a contract to construct the<br />

new PATH station at the site <strong>of</strong> the World Trade<br />

Center in New York City.<br />

3/24/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to invest SEK 600 M in new<br />

residences in Stockholm<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> is to develop and construct 168 apartments<br />

in central Stockholm. The investment will total<br />

SEK 600 M. The planned Iskristallen block in the<br />

Kungsholmen district <strong>of</strong> Stockholm is expected to<br />

be completed in 2011. The sales process for the<br />

apartments will commence in May.<br />

4/7/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> secures two construction<br />

contracts in the U.S. for a total <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>USD</strong> 160 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> has secured two construction<br />

management assignments in the U.S. for a total<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>USD</strong> 160 M, corresponding to SEK 1.2 billion,<br />

which will be included in order bookings for the<br />

first quarter.<br />

4/19/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> launches first LEED <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

project in Poland – invests about<br />

SEK 210 M in new project<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> is developing a new <strong>of</strong>fice property with a<br />

strong environmental pr<strong>of</strong>ile in the city <strong>of</strong> Wrocław<br />

in western Poland. <strong>Skanska</strong>’s investment will<br />

amount to approximately EUR 22 M, approximately<br />

SEK 210 M, during the first stage <strong>of</strong> the<br />

project, which comprises 12,000 square meters <strong>of</strong><br />

leasable space and is scheduled for completion at<br />

the end <strong>of</strong> 2012.<br />

5/3/<strong>2010</strong><br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> awarded concession<br />

agreement for PPP highway in Chile<br />

– construction contract amounts to<br />

<strong>USD</strong> 250 M<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> has been awarded a concession contract<br />

by the Chilean Ministry <strong>of</strong> Public Works to design,<br />

construct, operate and maintain a toll road in<br />

Ant<strong>of</strong>agasta, Chile. The design and construction<br />

contract is expected to total <strong>USD</strong> 250 M, approximately<br />

SEK 1.8 billion.<br />
