<strong>Skanska</strong> is developing a new <strong>of</strong>fice property with<br />
a strong environmental pr<strong>of</strong>ile in Budapest,<br />
Hungary. <strong>Skanska</strong>’s investment amounts to<br />
EUR 32.5 M, about SEK 300 M.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> receives U.S. Green Building<br />
Council’s <strong>2010</strong> Leadership Award<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> has been awarded the U.S. Green Building<br />
Council’s <strong>2010</strong> Leadership Award for the company’s<br />
vision, leadership and commitment in promoting<br />
the development <strong>of</strong> the design and construction<br />
<strong>of</strong> green projects. The U.S. Green Building Council<br />
(USGBC), an independent environmental<br />
organization, annually recognizes individuals or<br />
organizations that work actively for green design<br />

New York for <strong>USD</strong> 61 M<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> has secured an assignment to construct<br />
an intermediate and high school facility in Long<br />
Island City, New York. The contract amount totals<br />
<strong>USD</strong> 61 M, approximately SEK 425 M.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to construct Brent Council’s<br />
green Civic Centre in London for<br />
GBP 85 M<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> has been assigned to construct Brent Civic<br />
Centre in the Greater London Area. The contract<br />
amount is around GBP 85 M, about SEK 930 M,<br />
which will be included in fourth quarter order<br />
bookings. The customer is Brent Council.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> acquires leading construction<br />
company in Slovakia in the field <strong>of</strong><br />
cast-in-place concrete structures<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> is to acquire all shares in the Slovakian<br />
company SkyBau, which builds cast-in-place<br />
concrete structures. The acquisition strengthens<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong>’s position in the building construction<br />
sector in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to commence new phase<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice project in Helsinki – invests<br />
EUR 23 M<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> Commercial Development Nordic is to<br />
initiate the second phase <strong>of</strong> its Ruskeasuo <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
project in Helsinki. The investment amounts to<br />
EUR 23 M, approximately SEK 210 M and <strong>Skanska</strong><br />
Finland’s construction contract amounts to<br />
EUR 16.4 M, about SEK 150 M.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to launch Stockholm’s largest<br />
green <strong>of</strong>fice project, Lustgården,<br />
invests SEK 1.4 billion<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> is starting the first phase <strong>of</strong> the Lustgården<br />
<strong>of</strong>fice project on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. The<br />
property will be the largest green <strong>of</strong>fice project in<br />
the Nordics and the most environmentally compatible<br />
project developed by <strong>Skanska</strong> to date.<br />
The investment amounts to approximately<br />
SEK 1.4 billion.<br />

<strong>Skanska</strong> to expand in residential<br />
development – launches operations<br />
in the UK and Poland<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong>’s new business plan up to 2015 will focus<br />
on pr<strong>of</strong>itable growth. One <strong>of</strong> the areas with the<br />
best growth potential and in which <strong>Skanska</strong> plans<br />
to invest the most in coming years is residential<br />
development. The goal is to sharply increase the<br />
number <strong>of</strong> residential development projects in<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong>’s existing markets and to assume the<br />
position as the leading residential developer in the<br />
Nordic region. At the same time, the operations<br />
in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will return to<br />
former volume levels. As a phase in the expansion,<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> is now starting an entirely new unit for<br />
residential development in the U.K., and will also<br />
start a residential operation in Poland.<br />

PPP highway Autopista Central with<br />
a gain after tax <strong>of</strong> approximately<br />
SEK 5 billion<br />
<strong>Skanska</strong> is selling its 50 percent share in the<br />
company that owns the PPP highway concession<br />
Autopista Central in Santiago, the capital <strong>of</strong> Chile.<br />
The buyer is Alberta Investment Management<br />
Corporation (AIMCo), one <strong>of</strong> Canada’s largest<br />
institutional management firms managing funds<br />
on behalf <strong>of</strong> the Province <strong>of</strong> Alberta, certain public<br />
pension and endowments.<br />
