Use puller -T10408- in conjunction with following special tools:<br />
♦ Thrust pieces -T10408/2-<br />
♦ Grips -T10408/3-<br />
♦ Puller Kukko 18/1 (Qty. 2)<br />
– Use bolts -A- to screw puller -T10408- into threaded holes for<br />
<strong>gearbox</strong> housing cover.<br />
A - Hexagon bolts M7 x 35 with washers<br />
Torque setting 18 Nm<br />
– Place pressure pieces -T10408/2- onto shafts.<br />
– Mount pullers Kukko 18/1 .<br />
Golf Variant 2007 ➤ , Golf Variant 2010 ➤ , Jetta 2005 ➤ , Jetta 2011 ➤<br />

– Pull off 5th gear synchro-hub, 5th gear wheel and <strong>gearbox</strong><br />
housing by alternately tightening spindles -A- ( 1 /2 turn).<br />
– Heat gear wheel for 5th gear slightly with hot air blower -<br />
V.A.G 1416- if necessary.<br />
– Remove selector forks -A- together with selector plates.<br />
– Unbolt reverse gear selector mechanism -B-.<br />
– Remove nuts -B- for output shaft bearing support.<br />
