<strong>Of</strong>fice, dated May 16. <strong>The</strong> deportation of the 300,000 Jews concentrated in the<br />

Carpathian area and in Transylvania had began on May 14, with four special<br />

trains with 3,000 Jews in each leaving daily. Stamped and handwritten notations.<br />

Thanksgiving mass to celebrate the deportation of the Jews, but the bishop objected<br />
