Techniques of installment lending with emphasis on credit<br />

evaluation, open end and direct credit, legal aspects of<br />

Prerequisite: BUS 284 or permission of instructor.<br />

Techniques of installment credit with emphasis on rate structure<br />

and yield analysis, organizing and managing installment credit<br />

departments, and marketing bank services.<br />

BUS 290 Introduction to Industrial Eng!neering/3 Units<br />

Prerequisite: None.<br />

Taught in Spanish, abasic introduction to the methods and<br />

practice of Industrial Engineering for business managers and<br />

students. The course emphasizes fundamental principles of work<br />

organization and job design in an industrial setting. Practical<br />

aspects of application to Twin Plant Industries along the U.S.<br />

Mexican Border Will be highlighted.<br />

Prerequisite: Approval of the division chair and instructor. <br />

Completion of a research problem or an outlined course of study <br />

under the direction of afaculty member, with contract for the <br />

individual study agreed upon by the student. the instructor and <br />

the diviSion chair prior to initiation of the study. May be repeated <br />

for credit. <br />

Aone-semester course introducing fundamentals of general<br />

chemistry with emphasis placed on principles important to the<br />

understanding of human biological functions and related medical<br />

aspects. Especially adapted to the needs of students in nursing<br />

and other health related fields. Serves as a laboratory science for<br />

degree requirements.<br />
